James Blunt, the English singer-songwriter invades Manila on Monday, May 19 to perform a one-night concert at Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.
Blunt, whose famous single “You’re Beautiful” brought him to fame when he released his debut album Back to Bedlam back in 2005. Prior his career in music, Blunt was an officer in the Life Guards, a regiment of the British Army and he served as a member of the NATO peacekeeping force in Kosovo.
Blunt won two BRIT Awards and two Ivor Novello Awards, and was nominated for five Grammy Awards in 2006.
He also made history for being the first British Artist who made it to the number 1 spot with his hit “You’re Beautiful” in the US Billboard charts after almost a decade when Elton John’s Candle in the Wind got the same record in 1997.
